Has anyone ever mixed cream (or milk) with mead? I am talking about finished mead not in the process of making it.

Any thoughts? How was the taste? Recommended ratios?

I would think that some melomel's would be great this way.

I am aware of Talon's comment elsewhere on this board about 'lactomel' but it is unclear if that was brewed with milk or milk as added to mead at the time of consumption. There was also no indication of the type of milk/cream or the type of mead.

Lactomel is mead brewed with milk, usually lactose-free milk. I haven't tried mixing it with cream, though. It sounds yummy, maybe a sort of mead-Harvey's Bristol Cream?

Hmmmmm......

Vicky - now thinking seriously about some possibilities in this direction

Well, I have no idea how this will turn out, but I will post what I did in the recipe forum.

I did an Argentinian themed mead (argentinian honey and dulce de leche or carmel).
