Thanks Noe, but how do you use it after downloading? It just opens in Microsoft Word for me.

Also, how did you download it from the website in the first place?

Like McJeff, I have really missed it.

Dan

You may have to rename it as an HTML file, that is how it should have saved. or just right click on the file and select "open with" and choose Internet Explorer or you browser

Change the file's extension to ".htm" if you can save it. Mine loaded fine in Firefox, Opera tried at first and doesn't load.. anything.. ?

Thanks. That helped, but still did not work quite right for me in Chrome or Safari on my MacBook. I will try it on my PC.

For some reason, the file downloads for me with a .mht extension.

Right click -> Save Page As

Open resulting html file in a browser, use as normal.

Here is another clone of the got mead calculator:
http://meadcalc.freevar.com/

Thank you. For some reason Noe's version did not work for me on the PC either (in any browser), but the clone is great.

When I downloaded Noe's file, it seemed to want to be a MHTML Document (whatever that is) with a shortened extension of .mht. Renaming to .html brought up some version of the calculator, but it was filled with coding and was not operational.

Thanks to all for their help! Now I can work on my recipe.

This is happening because your browser editor is Word. You should relate the downloaded file a Browser like Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, so they could open it.

Saludos,

Success!

Although right-clicking the file and "Opening With" Chrome did not work for some reason, I tried again tonight opening Chrome first. When I selected the downloaded file inside Chrome, it worked perfect. Now I have the GotMead calculator and the clone.

Thanks again Noe.

Ugh. Chrome. Will use it in a pinch, but too many compatibility problems right from the start when it didnt work with my banking. Google does many things well, but i dont consider chrome to be one of their better ones.

Sent from Arthur Dent's towel smothering a volume of Vogon poetry, some of which just leaked out.

Totally AWESOME!!! I have missed the calculator tool (by hand is fine, but if it get's screwed then I can blame the computer at least!!!), and will be using this extensively until the whole site is migrated/de-loused/debugged, it takes while. I should know a little as I'm a former Tech, (BTW: Former Hardware NOT Software Techie!!! PC Systems ONLY!!!) So I understand the amount of time/resources it takes for a migration/overhaul, be it HW, SW, or BOTH!!

THANK YOU!!!! To: Vicky, Oskaar, and all the other crew pulling together to do this MASSIVE migration of data as smoothly as a drive's platters....
