I recently went to see the new Thor movie. I've always been a big fan of the comic books so I thought it would be fun, and it was. Great special effects; and I thought the characters and story were quite good.
There was just one tiny little problem - NO MEAD!
I didn't see one mention of mead in the whole movie. What - did they suddenly run out? Frankly, I'd rather be in rotting in Helheim than to have no mead. Now I realize, the focus on the movie was not about the drinking habits of vikings and their gods, but they did manage to mention a cask of ale. The neglect of mead here seems abominable. I feel like writing a letter to Stan Lee, but he's probably swimming in a pool filled with Champagne-besotted, bikini-clad, would-be starlets and couldn't care less.
(And who'd blame him?)
