I used this recipe, but swapped out the strawberries for apples or pears for two different batches.

I documented everything on my new brewing tumblr. Here.

The cooked apple mead has increased in volume to the point it is pushing up into the airlock and bubbling over, is this okay or normal? The raw pear one isn't doing this, it increased in volume a little but there is still an inch or two of space before the bung and it is bubbling like mad.

Any advice or suggestions? This tuesday I am going to try the same recipe but with pumpkin puree and pie spices.

Oh and I am new and this is my first attempts :) Hello everyone!!
