need help ! how do you store bottled mead?

i need help.
how do you store bottled mead and wine?
i have 24 bottles of mesqueite mead and the same amount of bottles of a cabernet i made.
theyve been sitting up right for about a month.

do i need to store them on their side to keep the cork wet?

I store mine on an angle with the bottle tipped just enough for the cork to stay wet. If the cork dries out you present a greater risk of oxidation and loss of the seal that the cork provides.
