LOL thats true. We dont have to worry about that this year since we have had to split her 1 hive into 4 this year. Disrupts the chances of getting them. Good year for bees.

yeah we started last year with 1 nuc and wintered with 1 hive 3 deeps, now we have 1 4 deep 2 3 deep and 1 2 deep and im making the box and frames to make the 2 deep a 3 deep this weekend.

well i am still waiting for my 1st batch to clear but it smells great. not clearing yet tho racked it to secondary and still not clearing. started a spiced version while waiting lol. do i need to do anything to first batch to help with clearing

Ok didnt have to use anything to clear it lol just got bust and didnt have time to even look at it. Bottled it this weekend and its great will let it age a bit and wait for the spiced version to finish so i know which one im going to make more of LOL. Getting bees ready for winter meens more honey for mead. Thanks for all the advice lots more mead plans.
