Nicely done, Brad!! So, is it getting any local broadcast play? I figure with that plug for Detroit at the end, the local media would be clamoring at your door for broadcast rights! ;D
Theres a gallon jug of spiced Cyser in the background that was made on Mead Day 2008 during my presentation. WOOT! That video hits it right on the head too. Very nice, way to go you three!!!

I don't know how I'd get the rights to have the TV stations broadcast it since we don't technically own the rights. It was produced by an online publication called metromode.com

Well it is pretty easy - just call or email them and ask if it can be distributed to broadcast outlets. Depending on their mood, and their cash flow situation, they may or may not ask for a royalty payment but most small production houses that I've worked with in the past are more than happy to have their stuff aired in all possible media - provided their logos and credits are left intact.
Any chance you could do your own, with local resources? That would give you complete control over the scenes, dialogue and theme.
It was a really great video, short, but a lot was covered in it. Good use of visual info -- all the time you're talking about the different things you can do with mead, the camera is picking up images of the bottles, with different varietal honeys, styles, ect., and nailing the point home. "Heart of Darkness" -- that should get the interest of people who haven't heard about mead before.
The need to expand public perception of mead past Rennaisance Faires is good, but I'd suggest being careful not to portray it in a way that could, without any real intention, put them in a bad light. A lot of people, seeing the scenes from the Ren Faires, might have a knee jerk reaction, when it was these folk, and SCA folk, that carried a lot of interest in mead for a good many years.
An everyday Detroit guy, in white t-shirt, making prize winning mead. Great! Michael Moore would be proud. ;D
