Although there's a certain amount of traditional satisfaction when using whole hops, the pellets are actually easier to work with, and I can't detect any flavor difference between them and the whole hops when they are fresh and properly handled.

Spot on, Wayne! As one who has brewed for a few years now, I can safely say that there is no difference that I have noticed either...unless the hops have gone bad, then you can tell!! :)
 
I've heard that they keep longer than whole, and I've also heard that they are more efficient (which would be good for guys like me who can't do full boils if true).
