So I have been thinking of making a pumpkin flavored cyser. Has anyone made something similar? Maybe just a pumpkin mel?

Is there a difference between an apple mel and a cyser?
 
I think the only difference between apple mel and cyser is the name used. Some meals have specific names like cyber, but most don't. Big difference between cider (no honey), apple wine (no honey and higher ABV) and cyser, made with honey and apple and usually more of a wine ABV. Many differences in the yeast used (cider yeasts and beer yeasts usually for ciders, wine yeasts [generally] for cysts and wine). Bottom line, make what you enjoy and call it what you prefer.
