Re: Teaching Brewer's to Make Mead - Commercial Recommendations Requested
So per previous thread in another section, I'm going to be running a class on mead making for my Brew Club. I'm looking to get 2-3 bottles of commercial mead that really shows off "How To Do It Right".
I'll also have my own stuff for them to sample, but I won't have anything new to sample. Plus, all of my stuff was bottled sweet, as most of what I have on tap right now was for non-regular wine drinkers.
I need stuff that is currently available, either for mail order into Illinois or for purchase from somewhere like Binny's, the local Booze Super Store and Mafia (www.binnys.com).
I know Binny's carries the african stuff (Iqhilika), Redstone, some Danish stuff (Dansk Mjød), Polish (Jadwiga), English (Lurgashall), and a Chicago Local (Wild Blossom).
Any recommendations are appreciated.
