Hi everyone,

I wasn't sure where to post this so I'll post it here. In a nutshell, How do you store everything?

A little background before answering:
I'm a novice home beer brewer so I know how to store yeasts, and hops etc. I'm just trying to understand how you all keep your mead making things organized. I live in northwest Florida and have only seen basements in scary movies...

More background:. I have 4 one-gallon mead batches under my belt. The first one tastes mighty hot. Hopefully time will make it drinkable. The three subsequent batches taste much better, and hopefully I've learned enough to finish them so they are somewhat pleasant. I stumbled across Squatchy's wedding mead make along and have since invested my time listening to the recommended podcasts, studying the handbook, taking notes, and learning as much as I can do that I can make mead with confidence and pretty much get the most out of my investment(s). (Thank you, by the way. This forum is invaluable). I'm committed to learning how to make mead. Part of that commitment is keeping my spouse happy. The best way I know how to do this with my hobbies is to stay organized and tidy.

Any insight Into staying organized, particularly storage, is greatly appreciated. I'm a visual learner, so photos are appreciated.

Thank you

I store things based on how often I'll reach for them.

Sorbate, KMBS, Fermaid-O and go-ferm I have in baby food jars easily at hand.
My oaks, pectinase, powdered acids, fining agents, SIYs, and the bulk of the above I have in large zip-lock bags, then collected in a plastic tote
My common "tools" (scales, measuring devices, turkey baster, etc) I have in a three drawer plastic cabinet
Less common tools (glass fermentation weights, corks, another plastic tote
My glassware I have anywhere and everywhere I can fit it! :ROFLMAO:

This all sounds nicely organized but really I work in controlled chaos...

Controlled chaos is good! I can work with that. Thank you for the response. That sounds like a fairly logical way to keep track of everything.
