Anyone had any good Tej (Ethiopian honey wine) lately? I tried some the other day at a wine tasting festival in Oakland. I am going to buy some as soon as possible:

They make an orange variety which is not orange blossom honey but flavored with some kind of orange spice. It tasted remarkably like much more expensive versions of true orange blossom honey I've tried. Excellent for the price I think.

I get their Tej at Ethiopian restaurants occasionally. Very hit-or-miss in my experience. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it tastes like mead that is about a month or two old and still has a pretty high yeast cell count. (who knows, it might be that young) I haven't tried the orange one though.

Brundo (shop in Oakland on Telegraph) sells gesho leaves and bark if you want to make Tej. It's on my short list (which is only about 50 items long).
