I'm watching a clip claiming that the future of video is this super hi-res "Ultra HD" technology. But I'm watching it in a 400 pixel by 300 pixel flash movie that's been highly compressed for streaming on the web. Does anybody else find this to be funny?

Oh, and the time IS finally right to buy an HDTV :). I bought one very early and struggled to find content at first but now it's no problem at all. I've got my Series 3 TiVo, XBox 360, and upconverting DVD Player (Blueray soon). What more could you want? Heck, even my dad has upgraded. If he's bought one, you know it's time to upgrade. He's not exactly an early adopter. If he didn't drive a car, you'd think he was Amish.
