I can't believe this description !!! From a retailer !!! As advocates for the mead industry, we clearly still have a lot of work to do...

[h=3]Description[/h]We do not have a description for Ambrosia-Mede yet.
[h=3]Mead[/h]Honey wine, which tends to be quite strong and alcoholic-tasting, as honey ferments very well. Mead is often made with other ingredients for flavour, be they fruit or grain. The latter is known as braggot.

Strong? Sometimes... Alcoholic tasting? Only when done badly or when very young. Honey ferments well? I wish my "no nutrient traditional" batch hadn't gotten stuck.... repeatedly.

Sounds like they either do not have proper mead making techniques or they are sending out a false signal for a purpose. I would guess the former.

Being a new meadery in New Zealand welcome to my world is all that I can say. I get an 85% hit rate on our meads from tasting to buyer when dealing directly with people but still the retailers have no idea.
