Hi,

Im new on this forum and perhaps there already is a thread about this topic, anyways:
Ihave just started a cyser and i accidentially put too much yeast nutrient (double doze) in the must (fermaid-O). Will it ruin my batch? Ive heard that too much nitrogen will produce ethyl acetate and that taste as nail polish. Should I wait and hope for the best it might not be bad. Or is there some magic trick to save the cyser?

you need to figure what your total additions will be, divide that by for different equal amonts/days. Figure where the 40 grams will have gotten you and then pick it up where you left off. You'll be fine. If it was DAP you would really probably be screwed. Fermaid K has some DAP but probably not enough to leave a salty taste behind that early in the process.

This was your first feeding,,, correct?

Yes, that is correct. This my first feed. Im sorry i didnt quite understand your post. Is it a reply to my idea of rebooting the batch? Im from Sweden so my english isnt bad but not good either. Do you have the time to make a dummie version of your post?...

Dude, wish I had my own honey and apples! Jealous!

Well, im happy that my father is a beekeeper. The knowledge and some equipment is always at hand. I have four hives, two apple trees, elderflowers, pear trees, ‎sea buckthorn and bilberrys. I also have a neighbour with raspberry plantation (there is a win-win situation with the bees and raspberry flower).

The good news is that Fermaid O isn't like K or straight DAP... it's natural. The other good news is you did it right up frot when the yeast is able to gobble up more of everything and can really use the nutrient. The third good news is you're fine. Relax and have a homebrew dude. Keep aerating and degassing daily for the first week or so.
