Another Towel Day approaching. We need to get this organized.... have a few ideas. Watch this space. What I am thinking is that, because Skype will support 10 people, someone with a fiber connection (and a "muscular" PC) should open a Towel Day conference when Australia hits midnight, and leave it open all day, and people can jump on and off as their schedule and time zone permits. I only have an ADSL connection with standard laptops, or I would offer to do it.

that's in a half hour. (9:30 am here in Miami Beach) I will try on my upstairs gaming rif as soon as i get back from making believe I work for my money
 
LOL. Well, it will only be up for testing until actual Towel Day on May 25. Midnight in Sydney Australia would be 10:00 AM on May 24 in Miami, FL. Anyone that wants to participate should post here, and an invitation to connect will be sent. Still have some bugs/settings to work out.

Here's how I think it's gonna work . You have installed Skype, and sent a contact request to GM Towel Day, and it's been accepted. You will then be added to a group. When Towel Day rolls around, a call to the group will be made. If you're not available then, you can join the group later. Anything you post will be seen by members of the group. Well, it didn't happen in 2014, http://www.gotmead.com/forum/showthread.php/23078-May-the-4th-and-Towel-Day! and it didn't happen in 2015, and it seems to meet with a resounding thud in 2016, or maybe it was the Vogon poetry. To quote Doug Adams, “I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.”

Guess I will wipe up the spilled mead with my towel and wait til next year.
