Unable To Logout

I 'lost' the Chat Box so I tried to logout and then login as this is how I corrected this problem in the past. However, when I try to do that now, I get this message:

An Error Has Occurred!
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Uhhhhhhhh ..... How can I logout if every time I try to I get this message ? I'm running IE7

Log out and clear your cache, cookies and history, the log back in. That will usually do the trick. If it doesn't let me know and I'll terminate your session from Joomla.
