i was looking at different ways to sanitize item, and obviously chemical sanitizing is the most popular, but has anyone attempted sanitizing using ultra violet light?

See here and use ultraviolet san as your search keywords. Again, you need to learn to use the forum search tool to see if there is anything already out there and if it addresses your questions. I've asked about three times now to do this as this is part of your agreement when registering on this forum. We expect that you will use the search tool to mine the wealth of information on this site, and to aid you in the learning process.

If you have issues with the search tool, or are unable to figure it out please feel free to PM me for assistance.

Thanks,

Oskaar

thank you oskaar, you have not only NOT answered my question, you told me to use the search tool which did NOT yield the answer i was looking for, rather than tell me to read the beginners guide( which i did first, and once more to refresh myself on it) and act like your someone important, which you probably are not, save this forum you have not helped
i apologize to everyone who has been helpful to me and i offer my sincere thanks
this is my resignation from this forum, good day and good riddance

1. My importance or lack thereof is irrelevant.

2. When you registered as a user you agreed to use the search tool and do your diligence when asking questions.

3. I offered to help you out to find what you were looking for and gave you specific keywords to use. Since you're resigning the forum I'm guessing that you don't plan to take me up on that offer.

Bottom line is that this is the biggest and best mead resource on the web and if you take the time to use the forum search tool you'll find the answers to many of your questions. Many times there will not be a specific answer, but if you post something like "Hey I just read some of the other threads on ultraviolet sanitation and I'm seeing that there may be issues with oxidation, but my question is . . . . " You'll get many more people jumping in to help.

I'm capping this thread.

Oskaar
