Happy Saint Patrick's Day all you Crazy Got Meaders Out There !!!!

I'm enjoying a properly aged and conditioned smooth, rich, and creamy All-Grain Oatmeal Stout that I made back on December 1st. It is available through Tap #1 from the Bienenhaus Brew Werks Kegerator and is dispensed with N2 so that I get that deliciously thick head. Maybe I'll have a glass of an Acerglyn that I made back in June of 2006 later on this evening, and then perhaps a glass of Apfelwein as a night-cap. Gotta' be careful as I need to wake up at 4:30 AM EST tomorrow !

Well I am celebrating day 4 of my son having the flu and now my wife has it! :sad2:

Other than that I am having a glass of everclear and vodka mixed with Fresca (a grapefruit soft drink). WWOOOOHOOOO I am having a heck of a day!!!!! Too bad ther sick. ;D

Well, now that I'm on my 3rd pint of Oatmeal Stout (this is, by far, the best stout I 've made to date), I decided to just stick with beer for St. Pat's Day 2008, and be damned with the South Beach Diet !!!!!! I'll get back on track tomorrow ..... :sad1:

Gonna stop on the way home to pick up a bottle of Bushmill's Malt, per Wildaho's recommendation! :drunken_smilie:

The 10 year old even has a green label!

We celebrated on Sunday by cooking up 23 lbs of corned beef (simmered for 10 hours!). Also brewed a Scotch ale (details to follow in the beer forum). We had about a dozen people over and had a great time. Cracked a bottle of the '04 and '05 Pear Mels and also got into the Nectarine. Many stouts of assorted nature were consumed as well as several different scotch ales. My head didn't feel so good this morning! :drunken_smilie:

3 slabs of corned beef, some assorted other more traditional things, and a few glasses of Jamisons.

Couple of beers at the pool hall yesterday...

It got a little murky after that ::laughing::

With these goodies! Here's a close up of the contraband. The Booker's is about 12 years old, the Hoyo is about 10 years old.

Happy Saint Patricks Day!

Cheers,

Oskaar
