Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but oh well. Found a small bottle of this at the counter when picking up some meads this week, I dont like burbon, but it said honey so I thought why not. I must say not bad, just had a little over the rocks (after a glass of mead) and while I could tell it was whisky, it had a nice sweet honey flavor. If you like whisky, and you like honey I sugest you give it a try. now where did I put that glass......
 
Funny, we have about 20 bottles of this stored above the bar, never tried it myself though, and haven't seen many customers drink it either. Might have to try a glass tomarow at work.
 
I tend to drink bourbon when I drink the hard stuff. The American Honey is a bit sweet for my tastes, but not bad as an occasional "cordial". My younger brother, who likes his meads/wines sweeter, absolutely loves American Honey as it goes down easy.

We often use it for our traditional "pre-game shot" at our tailgate parties, where we take a shot and predict the score. Unfortunately, at our last tailgate, one of our tailgaters (who had a bit too much) knocked over a newly opened and we lost about 3/4 of it. Morale to the story: Re-seal the bottle immediately after use. Never let an open bottle sit out in the open.
 
My friend mentioned this stuff to me last spring, and how much he liked it. Over the summer I picked up a bottle and tried it on the rocks. Had a difficult time finishing that glass. It felt like the honey and whiskey were separating in the glass, and the drink definitely became more viscous.
Tried it as a shot a few more times, which I thought was a little better. Way too sweet for me. Brought it over to his house one night for a cookout and to watch a game and left it there for him to enjoy.

I'm seeing a lot more honey whiskeys on the shelves. Has anyone tried other brands? How are they? If I could find one that had a pleasant hint of honey, I'd be happy. I just don't want to drop the money searching for that bottle through trial and error
