Just got back from a six day tasting extravaganza in Napa and Sonoma.

That was so much fun!

Favorite appellation in Napa: Spring Mountain. Love that mountain fruit!
Favorite appellation in Sonoma: Most likely Dry Creek. Best Zin's in the world!

Best unknown wineries: Mount, in Dry creek; Johnson's Alexander Valley winery; William Harrison in Napa (Rutherford); and Ritchie Creek in Spring Mountain.

Best wine tasted: Barnett's 2005 Rattlesnake Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wineries that everyone should visit: Bartholomew Park, Moon Mountain, Guilliams, Peterson, Mayo Family, Smith-Madrone and Silverado Vineyard

Someday I'd like to tour them and see what they are like. I am jealous.

It's a lot of fun....

Discovered one thing this trip:

Six days of tasting is pushing the envelope! By the end of the sixth day, it was enough.
