I see some folks in france sold 400 bottles of counterfeit burgundy for close to two million euros. I have a little problem with any wine costing $12,000 a bottle and wonder how many drank the phony with some relish. Seems to me anyone smart enough to know the difference, would be too smart to pay that much.

I wouldn't be too quick to criticize those paying exorbitant prices for some of these wines. If you are rich and can afford it, these high-end wines usually provide investment returns greater than the stock market. Plus you get to impress your friends and associates. If that wasn't enough, with proper aging, some of these wines have amazing flavor.

If I were ever to produce a commercial product, these are exactly the kinds of customers I'd like to have. :)

Whatever floats your boat

I am not criticizing just showing a lack of respect I guess. Money is just a tool and tools are useless unless you use them. And it is their money! It is an age old conundrum. I do not in any way dispute your stand, I just can never think on that scale of spending. Too alien to my upbringing and bank account.
