We'e actually got crabapple bushes at my parents home. My mother makes a mean crabapple jam. I would definitely be interested to see how they work in a cider as they taste a lot more bitter from what I can remember. If I was to get my own cider press and press my own apples, is there any one in-particular that can be recommended or will any old press do the job adequately? I'd want to make sure I'm getting every ounce of flavour out of the fruit. Thanks.
