Anyone know how to make something Bailey's-ish?

I need something to keep me calm for the next 18-24 months :p

Cheers!

I was at a tasting the other night and there were a few meads there. One was a cream mead. I asked him what it was and he pulled me aside and said it was mead but then he added a whipped cream vodka. It was creamy and meady. I dont know about the clarity though - both of his were super cloudy. Might be something to look in to if you want that creamy taste.

Sounds like a fortified mead, if he added the whipped cream vodka.

As far as distilling goes, from what I hear, you can usually get away with building a still for personal use; it's selling/distributing your product is likely to get you in trouble. Note that I haven't tried this yet...I mean heck, you can buy a cheap bottle of vodka for less than it would cost you to make it, and you wouldn't have to worry about going blind (other than if you drink too much of it at once).
