I can't imagine a land border, where you get stopped in your car. Must be weird not being surrounded by water.
I recently drove for 5 days straight without a border or ocean.
Well, you can get there in your car, but there is not a land border between the state of Michigan and Canada. Save for the Ohio/Indiana side, and Wisconsin in the Upper Peninsula, we are surrounded by water. You can drive across a bridge at three locations (Detroit, Sarnia, and Sault Ste. Marie), or go under the river in a tunnel in Detroit, but otherwise, you'll need a boat.
Speaking of starting a meadery, kind of funny, but in twenty-plus years of meadmaking, one thing I never thought I was going to need to make a batch is a lawyer.
