Nothing wrong with a dress code at a formal event where high school students are prone to making unwise choices that might disrupt the proceedings. Although by no means in the Bible Belt (which really shouldn't be an insult), we also check our graduates, twice: once as they are admitted through the doors at Arco Arena (or power balance whatever it's called these days), and once again right before they cross the stage. They have to be fully clothed under their robes and not have any beach balls, etc. It gets really really bad if this isn't done, and parents get irate when their kid's graduation is marred by someone else's kid's histrionics. Bald heads, however, are fine.![]()
That's totally reasonable though! It's stuff like "no pants for females" and other ridiculousness that drives me nuts!
